These women were waiting for a bus in a Turkish plaza when something caught their attention in the plaza. The interesting variety of expression on the faces of the women along with the strong diagonal structure worked well for this painting.
About George Harth
George Harth lives in Medina, OH, and spends the winters painting in Bonita Springs, FL. He began painting watercolors during high school in Leavenworth, Kansas. George started developing his love of art, at the age of thirteen, while taking private drawing lessons. He grew into watercolor painting and experienced early success. At the age of fifteen, George placed first in the Leavenworth Annual Art Exhibit of 1960. George has been called a Renaissance Man by many of his acquaintances because of his many interests and talents which include writing, photography, painting, and an occasional invention. I am not sure what they are looking at actually, Bill. There was a lot going on in the plaza, and my back was to the plaza when I took this photo for the painting. I like to paint subjects that make you wonder what is going on in the scene. I guess it worked. Have a good Thanksgiving.
