This watercolor tries to capture the moment when a young girl receives a Christmas present that she has been hoping for all season. You can tell by the smile on her face that she has been anxiously awaiting this moment for some time, and finally she has the gift that she has been dreaming of.
George Harth lives in Medina, OH, and spends the winters painting in Bonita Springs, FL. He began painting watercolors during high school in Leavenworth, Kansas. George started developing his love of art, at the age of thirteen, while taking private drawing lessons. He grew into watercolor painting and experienced early success. At the age of fifteen, George placed first in the Leavenworth Annual Art Exhibit of 1960. George has been called a Renaissance Man by many of his acquaintances because of his many interests and talents which include writing, photography, painting, and an occasional invention.
