This painting was inspired by a visit to a kite shop in a small town in Pennsylvania. The light streaming through the window and the translucent kites made the kites glow with color and enhanced their shapes.
George Harth lives in Medina, OH, and spends the winters painting in Bonita Springs, FL. He began painting watercolors during high school in Leavenworth, Kansas. George started developing his love of art, at the age of thirteen, while taking private drawing lessons. He grew into watercolor painting and experienced early success. At the age of fifteen, George placed first in the Leavenworth Annual Art Exhibit of 1960. George has been called a Renaissance Man by many of his acquaintances because of his many interests and talents which include writing, photography, painting, and an occasional invention.
