Artist's Description

The county fair is a great place to see people doing things, and that happens to be what I like to paint. She had even exhausted all the possibilities of her cell phone, so it just rested like a broken toy on her lap. I like the slightly pink sunburnt fair skin and rusty colored hair that contrasted with dark green John Deere chair. And those worn out form fitting jeans and ball cap were classic tomboy fare. You could tell that she belonged there, and for me, she was the fair.
