While traveling through Amish country in northern Ohio, I saw this scene of an Amish farmer harvesting the oats in his field. The horse team was pulling a mechanical harvester that was stirring up a considerable dust cloud that engulfed the farmer.
George Harth lives in Medina, OH, and spends the winters painting in Bonita Springs, FL. He began painting watercolors during high school in Leavenworth, Kansas. George started developing his love of art, at the age of thirteen, while taking private drawing lessons. He grew into watercolor painting and experienced early success. At the age of fifteen, George placed first in the Leavenworth Annual Art Exhibit of 1960.
